A **heat wave is expected to begin on Friday**, with **Excessive Heat Index** conditions forecast for the northern islands of The Bahamas, including:
π New Providence
π Grand Bahama
π Abaco
π Bimini
π Berry Islands
π Andros
π Eleuthera
These conditions mean that the combination of high temperatures and humidity could make it feel significantly hotter, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

This week our team is heading to San Salvador as we continue community townhalls and cooling center site inspections across the islands.
