The world is changing faster than ever before.
The way we work, learn, build businesses, access services, and create opportunity is being transformed by technology and innovation.
The question is not whether change is coming.
The question is whether we will be ready for it.
Ministry of Innovation & National Development was created to help ensure The Bahamas is.

WHAT A DAY, FORT CHARLOTTE!
Our very first Fort Charlotte Youth Career Fair was an incredible success!

With more than 30 businesses and organizations under one roof, our young people had the opportunity to learn about a wide range of industries, ask questions, make connections, and explore career opportunities.

From accounting and aviation to sound and AV, law enforcement, healthcare, insurance, food and beverage, and so much more, attendees were exposed to careers that can help shape their futures.

Most importantly, every participating organization has committed to employing between 1 and 3 students this summer. That means at least 90 young people from Fort Charlotte will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, earn an income, and begin building their careers.

This is exactly what community development looks like—creating opportunities, investing in our youth, and opening doors to a brighter future.

To our participating businesses, volunteers, staff, parents, and young people: thank you for making this event such a tremendous success.

This is only the beginning. Fort Charlotte, WE'RE GOING HIGHER!

Preparing our young people for success starts long before the interview.

This past Wednesday, students from across the Fort Charlotte constituency participated in our Resume Building & Interview Masterclass, where they learned how to create professional resumes, understand what employers are looking for, and develop the confidence needed to succeed in interviews.

The session also focused on networking skills and professional etiquette which are important tools that can help young people stand out in today's job market.

This initiative is part of our commitment to empowering the next generation and ensuring they are prepared for opportunities when they arise.

Now, it's time to put those skills into action!

Today participants will have the opportunity to meet with employers, network with professionals, and interview for potential employment opportunities at the Fort Charlotte Youth Career Fair at the FC Tech Center.

We're proud of every student who took the first step toward investing in their future.

Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and when they grow, Fort Charlotte grows with them.

Through the Fort Charlotte Own Business Initiative, we continue to invest in hardworking entrepreneurs by providing the tools and resources they need to expand their businesses and create new opportunities.

From landscaping to carpentry and skilled trades, local business owners are receiving support that will help them increase their capacity, serve more customers, and build a stronger future for their families.

We're especially proud to see women breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries and leading by example for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Congratulations to all of our recipients. Your success is Fort Charlotte's success.
