The physical verification of capital activities executed during the Financial Year 2025โ€“2026 was successfully completed on 16th September 2026, with the Royal Audit Team visiting the respective project sites and covering all the activities.

Beyond verifying the physical completion of structures and works, the exercise provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on what has been delivered, how the facilities and infrastructure are serving our communities, and whether the intended benefits are reaching the people.

This is to inform all that the Functional Literacy Test (FLT) for aspiring Local Government candidates will be conducted from 1 September to 4 September 2026 as per the following schedule:
โ€ข 1 September 2026: written exam (Candidates must report to their respective test centres by 9:00 AM sharp. The examination duration is 3 hours. The sitting arrangement will be based on the Index Number provided by the Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB).)
โ€ข 2-4 September 2026: Interactive/Practical Examination (Viva,FCE) - (Candidates must report to their respective test centres by 8:45 AM sharp. The sitting/turn arrangement for the Viva will be determined through a lucky dip. The Viva will commence with Level Il candidates. Level I Viva will begin only after the completion of the Level I! Viva.)

Use of Calculators and Mobile Phones:
โ€ข Candidates are permitted to use calculators during the examination
โ€ข However, mobile phones are strictly not permitted in the examination hall/test centers
โ€ข Candidates have to bring CID original in exam centers as admission card
โ€ข Dress code: National dress

This is to inform the general public that the Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) is currently conducting registration for the Functional Literacy Test (FLT), which is a mandatory requirement for all aspiring candidates intending to contest in the 4th Local Government Elections, 2027.

In this regard, officials from the Dzongkhag Election Office, Dagana will be visiting Gesarling ewog to meet with aspiring candidates, create awareness on the importance of the Functional Literacy Test (FLT), clarify queries related to the registration process, and encourage eligible individuals to register for the test.

Gesarling Gewog is pleased to mark the opening of the Disability Inclusive Toilet and Structure at Gesarling Gewog Center. The activity includes the construction of three units of toilets, along with ramps and railings to ensure better accessibility and inclusivity for persons with disabilities and the public.

The work was successfully completed by Tashi Mehday Khabab and Phuensumgang CCG.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Gewog Thrizin, Gewog Lama, representatives from Gesarling Central School, Dagana PWDs Focal Person, and Gewog staff.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment towards creating an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environment for all.

A consultation meeting on the implementation of the Climateโ€‘Resilient Spring Water Source Revival Intervention Project was held today in Gesarling Gewog, funded by UNICEF in partnership with the Department of Water, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR). Around 100+ water users from Phuensumgang and Tash*thang chiwog, as well as Upper Gozhi, attended the meeting, including representatives who are also direct water users of the spring source alongside representatives from BPC, Forest Division, and Dagapela Hospital to discuss the projectโ€™s design and fieldโ€‘level implementation, with the aim of reviving drying spring sources, improving drinkingโ€‘water security, and strengthening climate resilience in the gewog.
