From 19th to 23rd October 2026, officials from the Regional Office for Infrastructure Development (ROID), Mongar, conducted a site assessment and detailed survey of flood-damaged irrigation channels in Minjey Gewog, Lhuentse Dzongkhag.

The assessment covered the Chusa-Lekshogang Irrigation Channel (Nargangchhu Package I) and the Jalang-Minjey Chiwog Irrigation Channel (Nargangchhu Package II).

The team inspected the damaged intake structures and pipeline sections, surveyed the water source areas, and identified a feasible location for the proposed intake structure. The survey findings will support the technical assessment, planning, and design of the proposed restoration works to rehabilitate the irrigation infrastructure and enhance its resilience to future flood events.

On 6th October 2026, a team of officials from ROID Mongar conducted a field survey for the proposed construction of a water intake system at the source and development of a water supply and sprinkling system for the nursery site at Sherichu, Mongar. The survey was carried out in coordination with officials from the Forest Department.

The initiative aims to improve water availability and support sustainable nursery operations and plantation management in the area. We extend our sincere appreciation to all officials and stakeholders for their valuable cooperation and commitment towards this important initiative.

We were proud to celebrate the official inauguration of the Regional Office for Infrastructure Development (RoID), Mongar, on 14th August 2025. This event marks a new chapter in our commitment to planning and design support for Mongar, Lhuentse, Trashigang, and Trashiyangtse Dzongkhags.

We were honored to have the Dasho Dzongdag of Mongar grace the ceremony, along with the Dasho Drangpon, Dasho Dzongrab, and Sector Heads of Mongar Dzongkhag in attendance. Their presence reflected the strong collaborative spirit behind this initiative, and we were grateful for their support.

As the region's technical hub, RoID Mongar was established to lead technical planning, design development, and drawing ex*****on for infrastructure projects across the four eastern dzongkhags. It remains a vital regional hub, strengthening coordination, improving service delivery, and building local technical capacity.
