Success Story: Broksar-Mangling CBNE, Saling Gewog

In the heart of Mongar Dzongkhag, a beautiful partnership between people and nature is thriving. The Broksar-Mangling Community-Based NTFP Enterprise, under the Lingmethang FMU and led by the Divisional Forest Office, Mongar, is a shining example of sustainable development.

With support from the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), Department of Forests and Park Services, and the Royal Government of Bhutan, this community is harnessing the power of non-wood forest products like bamboo and cane. They are not only generating income but are also ensuring their forests remain healthy for generations to come.

In a simple yet significant ceremony held on this auspicious day, the Charge of the Lingmethang FMU Office was officially handed over to the New Unit In-Charge, Mr. Dorji Wangdi (Sr. FR-I), by the Officiating UIC, Mr. Karma Tshering Rabten (FO).

The event was witnessed in the presence of two forestry staff and one NRDCL staff, where the solemn Tashi Tsekpa Moenlam was recited, invoking peace, prosperity, and success for the new leadership and the sustainable management of our forests.

🌲🚛 Timber Extraction & Transportation for OP 2025 Begins! 🚛🌲

We are pleased to announce the commencement of timber extraction and transportation to the depot for Operational Plan (OP) 2025. Our team is working diligently to ensure sustainable harvesting, adhering to forestry guidelines and best practices.
