Lower Sonamthang, Upper Sonamthang, and Laling blacktopping works have been successfully completed.

The Gewog Administration would like to express our sincere appreciation to the present government for providing the necessary funding support. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dasho Dzongda and Dasho Drungpa for your continuous guidance and leadership throughout the process.

Our sincere thanks also go to the Dzongkhag Engineer, Drungkhag Engineer, and Site Engineer Mr. Chandara for your invaluable support and cooperation. We highly acknowledge the dedicated services rendered by the Dzongkhag Finance and Accounts officials.

Further, the Gewog Administration would like to acknowledge the Chiwog Tshogpa and all GT members for their collective support and approval of the works at Sonamthang Chiwog based on priorities and needs. Your teamwork and commitment greatly contributed to the successful completion of the project.

Nevertheless, special recognition is extended to the GAO, who has been the backbone of the works in the Gewog, particularly in handling documentation and administrative responsibilities.

Progress report of upper Sonamthang.

Gewog administration would like to inform the public that Laling Blacktoping work completed today.
However, heavy vehicle movement with loads through the newly blacktopped road at Laling site is strictly restricted. As advised by the Engineer, the road should be allowed to set for at least two days to ensure durability and quality.
Please note that any damage caused due to non-compliance will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner/driver, and the maintenance cost shall be borne by them.
Tomorrow, blacktopping work on the Upper Sonamthang road will commence, followed by the Lower Sonamthang road thereafter.
