On the sacred occasion of Zhabdrung Kuchoe, the Samdrup Jongkhar Thromde, in collaboration with the Dzongkhag Administration and the Dratshang, gathered in solemn reverence to offer prayers and pay heartfelt tribute to Lama Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.

The ceremony was marked by deep spiritual reflection, honoring the legacy of unity, peace, and nation-building laid down by the Zhabdrung. Through collective prayers and offerings, the gathering reaffirmed a shared commitment to uphold the values and vision that continue to guide the Kingdom.

Civil Service Wellness Day 2026 at Samdrup Samdrup Jongkhar

Despite the early morning downpour, the Civil Service Wellness Day commenced promptly at 8:00 AM, drawing enthusiastic participation from regional offices, dzongkhags, thromdes, schools, as well as members of the public and the armed forces. The resilience and spirit of the participants were truly commendable, as they gathered in large numbers despite the challenging weather conditions.

As the program unfolded, the weather gradually turned in our favor, creating a pleasant and refreshing atmosphere. This shift not only uplifted the mood but also allowed everyone to fully engage in the activities.
