25 April 2026: BBS warmly welcomed 12 new employees who joined the organisation in various positions. The CEO and Management Team extended their heartfelt welcome to the new recruits and conveyed their best wishes as they begin their professional journey with the BBS family.

The CEO highlighted the importance of welcoming young talent and experienced professionals into the organisation as BBS continues to strengthen its role as the national broadcaster.

He noted that it is encouraging to see energetic and talented young professionals becoming part of the growing BBS family.

The CEO also expressed appreciation for two experienced professionals who have returned from Australia to join the team, bringing valuable experience and broader exposure.

Highlighting the renewed spirit of unity, goodwill, and positive momentum within the organisation, the CEO said the new employees join BBS at an important and promising time.

To support their smooth integration into their respective roles, an Onboarding and Orientation Programme was conducted. The programme introduced the new employees to the organisation’s work culture, core values, basic rules, employee benefits, and workplace expectations.

15 April 2026: In an auspicious ceremony held on 15 April 2026, the Bhutan Broadcasting Service Corporation (BBS) welcomed four new Directors to its leadership team. Each appointee brings with them over two decades of rich experience in broadcast media.

The newly appointed Directors and their respective portfolios are as follows: Director Thinley Yangchen Dorji will head the News and Current Affairs Department; Director Tshering Dorji will oversee the Corporate Services Department; Director Pema Tshering will lead the Programme and Production Department; and Director Ngawang Dorji will manage the Technical and Engineering Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer expressed his confidence and optimism that, with the addition of these dynamic and seasoned professionals, the Corporation is well-positioned to reach greater heights and deliver an even higher standard of service to the general public.

The CEO also extended his sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors for their continued guidance and support, affirming his commitment to working closely with each of the new Directors as BBS strives to become a true source of national pride.
