The ongoing kari-lum irrigation project under Tseza Gewog is progressing smoothly with steady implementation of road formation and related infrastructure works.
Although a few temporary hindrances were encountered due to continuous rainfall and challenging site conditions, the project activities are moving forward as planned. The project is expected to be completed by November 2026.

The annual vaccination campaign for BQ and HS, along with the bi-annual FMD program, is actively underway across all 5 chiwogs.
Led by our Gewog Livestock Extension Supervisor (LES), the campaign started on 19th April and will be completed by 26th April 2026, in close coordination with the Dzongkhag Livestock Sector.
Progress Update:
โข 3 chiwogs covered
โข 60 households reached
โข 132 cattle (Calf above 6 months both male and female, young bulls and heifer..) vaccinated.
This vital program is focused on safeguarding animal health, preventing disease outbreaks, and protecting the livelihoods of our farming community.
The Gewog Administration sincerely appreciates the dedication of our field staff and kindly requests all livestock owners to extend full cooperation.

The Gewog Administration has successfully completed the handing-taking of the newly constructed farm road in Lower Zamtog, alongside the substantial improvement of the Shatoggoenpa road. These projects represent an investment of Nu 2 million and Nu 1.5 million, respectively.
The development of these improved roadways will profoundly benefit the residents of the Gewog, and improved connectivity hence, supports access to essential services, encourages tourism, and bridges the gap for isolated communities.
It is our sincere hope that these vital upgrades will serve their intended purpose for many generations to come, fostered by the community's continued accountability in their upkeep.

Today, the farmers of Tseza Gewog had the opportunity to attend an important awareness session on the National Crop and Livestock Insurance Scheme conducted by official from Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan Limited, Dagapela Branch.
The session was very informative and helped our farmers understand how this scheme can protect their crops and livestock from unexpected losses caused by disasters, diseases, or other risks. Farmers were educated on the benefits, premium contribution, and the process of enrolling in the scheme.

The 3 km Farm Road from Zamtog to Lower Khamaed has started, carried out by M/S Gaden Tsewa Construction. This project is funded under 30% PBG โ FY 2025-2026.

The Honโble Dasho Dzongdag, accompanied by the Chief District Engineer (CDE), Dzongkhag Chief Planning Officer, and members of the Gewog Monitoring Committee, carried out a field visit to review and monitor key development works within the Gewog.
The visit covered the following sites:
1. Improvement works on the GabazamโWangra Chhu road, executed by M/S. Tshewang Construction
2. Assessment of road blockage clearance works executed by M/S. Tshamtshok Hiring from Daga Chhu to Apai-Amai Paang to Kamina, damaged during the heavy rainfall of 3โ4 October 2025
Along the sidewalk, inspected the site for the upcoming Solar Power Project at Apai-Amai Paang.
The Dzongkhag Administration has extended financial support of Nu. 8.7 million for these ongoing projects, which are currently under implementation.
Such regular field monitoring and coordination reflect the continued commitment of the Dzongkhag and Gewog administrations towards improving connectivity, strengthening disaster response, and promoting sustainable energy initiatives for the benefit of the community.

The Gewog Administration would like to inform the general public that a team from the Quality and Control Division (QCD), Prime Ministerโs Office, Thimphu visited the ongoing High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) site from Gewog Center to Pelling on 21 January 2026.
The visit was carried out as part of the Divisionโs mandate to monitor, assess, and ensure quality standards, compliance, and effective implementation of government-funded development projects.
The QCD team was accompanied by officials from the Dzongkhag Administration and the Gewog Administration. After a joint site inspection and review, the team expressed satisfaction with the overall progress and quality of work. At the same time, a few constructive directives and recommendations were provided to the contractor to further enhance implementation and ensure timely completion.
Together, through teamwork and shared commitment, we move closer to achieving our development goals and fulfilling the noble vision of our beloved King.
