ILO 114th Session, 2026

TAWU through BFTU formed part of the Botswana delegation that attended the ILO Conference (114th Session of 2026, June 01-12), Geneva, Switzerland.

The Conference is a convocation that brings together representatives from Employers, Trade Unions and Governments across the continents.

Strengthening Voices, Transforming Education – Today in Gaborone, TAWU President Mr Allan Keitseng proudly participated in the AFTRA 13th Conference and 15th Roundtable, uniting with regional and continental education leaders to advance the teaching profession in Africa . Both TAWU and AFTRA share a common vision of quality education for all and decent work for education personnel TAWU remains unwavering in its promise to our members – through ongoing training, legal support, and active participation in platforms like AFTRA .
