Greater Gaborone DHMT recently attended a fun race event organized by ministry of Youth and Gender Affairs in Partnership with Boitekanelo College at Tlokweng border gate mall. This Fun Race also incorporated Health Talks focused on promoting health, wellness, and positivity.

Greater Gaborone DHMT recently hosted a delightful "Vintage Friday," a themed gathering aimed at boosting staff morale and providing a heartfelt send-off to departing team members.
The concept behind Vintage Friday was simple yet impactful: employees were encouraged to dress up in retro attire, reminiscent of styles from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. From bell-bottoms and tie-dye shirts to shoulder pads and classic denim, the event was a colorful throwback that sparked creativity and laughter throughout the workplace.
The highlight of the event came during the farewell segment where the temporary officers and interns who just completed were presented appreciation certificates, acknowledging the contributions they have made in GGDHMT and also wishing them well as they move on to new chapters in their careers

Every year on March 20th, the world comes together to celebrate International Oral Health Day (IOHD), a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and encouraging people of all ages to adopt healthier oral care habits. In commemorating this day, Greater Gaborone DHMT in partnership with Botswana Dental Association yesterday held an Oral Health campaign at Tloaneng Primary school under the theme “A happy mouth is a happy mind” which simply means there is intricate link between Oral health and mental health. The objectives of this event were to;
• Educate children about their oral health
• Teach the children about their oral hygiene and good oral hygiene practices
• Conduct a baseline survey to assess their oral health status
• Assess the needs of the school community
• Provide dental checkups, emergency care and other dental services
• Help children and parents understand dental health issues
• Provide fluoride varnish, sealants and other preventive interventions
