The MIDH is committed to comprehensive infrastructure development provided in an efficient, effective manner which ensures that Belizeans receive value for money.

At the MIDH, we always operate with courtesy and respect, and we also have an obligation to get the work done efficiently and effectively with the least inconvenience for our people. We know your memorials and signs have meaning and significance, but if they were placed in the buffer zone, they will need to be moved to make way for road upgrading. Thanks, as always, for your support and confidence.

This is just a small part of what we do to help our Housing team to provide solid homes to Belizean families. This crew is in Belize City demolishing an old structure, clearing and cleaning a site, after which construction will start. This is actually one of our favourite parts of the job, because we see the impact these homes have on the people who really need an opportunity.

When you get a message like this from your team in PG - "your leadership has set a clear direction and standard for excellence that the whole team follows. Having a uniform builds instant credibility with the public and strengthens our identity as one cohesive unit and creates a sense of pride and accountability." This is who we are at the MIDH.

The men of the MIDH might be in the spotlight a lot, but we know the truth. Behind all the good things coming out of our Ministry are the women who give their hearts and souls to serving the people. Today, and every day, we honour you. Happy Mother's Day.

We have to always acknowledge the work of our Road Maintenance Units who are committed to making Belize more beautiful. This crew is at the far end of the George Price Highway, near the Western Border, and the pictures speak for themselves.

Two more MIDH crews hard at work - one team is in Maxboro, cleaning and clearing road shoulders and generally making the community look better; the other team is in Freetown Subun, doing some light grading so residents and visitors have easy, smooth access. Always on the job, always getting it done.

Just another day for our Belize District Road Maintenance Unit - one crew is on the Boom-Hattieville Road doing mechanical vegetation control, and another is on the George Price Highway between miles 8 and 17 collecting garbage and cleaning up our bus shelters.

One of our teams is way down South on the Laguna Road today. The weather is bright and beautiful, so we're taking the opportunity to dump materials, spot patch and do some heavy grading. Constant maintenance of our rural infrastructure is a top priority for us.

One of our teams doing some upgrading in San Carlos in the Orange Walk District. In addition to heavy grading and spot patching on the road, we also assisted farmers by working on the Farmers Road and took the opportunity to spot patch in front of the San Carlos Government Primary School.

The heat is on, but there's work to do, and our Road Maintenance Units have what it takes. This crew is on the Philip Goldson Highway repairing a base failure and patching the deteriorated area properly to ensure the integrity of the road.

Routine cleaning and clearing on major roadways like this one in Yo Creek in the Orange Walk District really make a big difference. But it takes hard work and passion, and that's why we never fail to give thanks to our Road Maintenance Units who really do go above and beyond 24/7.
