l’s work is operationalized by its technical secretariat, the Public-Private Desk (PPD) which is resident within the Office of the Prime Minister. To strengthen the collaboration between public and private sectors through meaningful dialogue that leads to positive outcomes facilitating economic development.
2. To advise on and help develop reforms that improve the ease of doing business, enhance the public sector processes and enhance confidence of doing business in Belize


The Public-Private Desk (PPD) was established to provide technical support to the Economic Development Council (EDC) in executing its mandate. The PPD is situated at the Office of the Prime Minister and therefore reflects the importance of the partnership with the private sector. The PPD is comprised of an Executive Director, a Project Coordinator, a Project Officer, a Communication and Administration Officer and serves as the secretariat for the EDC.
