Thank you, Rochon Sands! ♻️💙

We appreciate everyone who is using our mixed recycling bins and helping support this great service for our community.

A friendly reminder to help keep the program running smoothly:
✅ Place recyclables clean and loose in the bins
✅ Accepted items include paper, cardboard, household packaging, metal food cans, glass jars, and foil trays
❌ No bottle or can drink containers in the mixed recycling bins — deposit-bearing beverage containers should still go in the bottle recycling box

Thank you for doing your part to help Rochon Sands recycle right!

♻️ Big news for Rochon Sands! ♻️

Our NEW Expanded Recycling Program begins October 1, 2026!

Residents will be able to recycle a much wider range of household packaging and paper products through Alberta’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program.

A few important reminders:

- Recyclables must go into the bins CLEAN and LOOSE — not bagged.
- Deposit-bearing beverage containers such as pop cans, b**r cans, w**e bottles and liquor bottles still go in the Summer Village bottle recycling box.
- Please take a few minutes to review what is accepted so we can keep contamination low and make this program a success.

You can find everything you need to know — accepted materials, how to use the bins, printable guides, FAQs and more — on our new recycling webpage: https://www.rochonsands.net/recycling.html

For any questions about this new program, please contact the Municipal Office.
