World No To***co Day is nearly here. For over 32,000 Canadians diagnosed with lung cancer this year, early detection can make all the difference.

Smoking is the #1 risk factor for lung cancer, and primary care providers play a critical role in identifying eligible patients and guiding them toward early treatment. That's why we've been working with teams across the country to make lung cancer screening a standard part of practice.

We've created tools to help:

📄 Assess patients' smoking history
💬 Have supportive screening conversations
🤝 Take a team-based approach to referrals

Visit our website to access resources and learn about screening and smoking cessation programs in your area.

Great seeing our Praxus team showing up at today's HPV Vaccination Training in Peel!

It was a fantastic session bringing together Health Ambassadors and staff from community organizations across Peel to explore how HPV vaccination fits into broader cancer prevention conversations.

So proud of the work our team continues to do in the community. 🌿

Alberta families are still waiting for something many other provinces already provide: publicly funded RSV protection for all infants.
You can help push for change. We’ve made it easy with prewritten letters and access to an MLA lookup tool.
Every baby deserves equal protection 💛

Last week, the Praxus Health and Canadian Immunocompromised Advocacy Network (CIAN) teams attended Canada's Drug Agency (CDA) Symposium in Ottawa, connecting with patient advocates, drug access decision makers, and health system influencers from across Canada. 🤝

It was an energizing few days of conversation around how drug access pathways are evolving and how patient voices can be more meaningfully embedded throughout the entire continuum.

We were encouraged by CDA's commitment to collaborative, patient-centred approaches, and left with renewed momentum to keep pushing for equitable access to life-saving treatments. 💬

National Immunization Awareness Week 🛡️
Immunizations are an important part of protecting your health at every stage of life. From childhood through adulthood, vaccines help reduce the risk of preventable diseases, including HPV, RSV, and more.
During National Immunization Awareness Week, we continue to advocate for better access to vaccines and work with partners across Canada to deliver trusted information and community-based awareness campaigns that support informed decision-making.

Most infants across Canada now have access to publicly funded RSV protection…but families in Alberta are still waiting. That’s a gap we can close. 💛

You can help by contacting your MLA and asking them to support publicly funded infant RSV protection. Our letter-writing toolkit makes it easy, with a quick way to look up your MLA and prewritten letters to help you get started.

Thanks to the MedAccessBC Forum for hosting an important conversation on investing in prevention 💬

It was great to see our CEO, Theresa Tang in conversation with Dr. Jia Hu, Alison Pozzobon, and patient groups we value working with — including Jaymee Maaghop from the Gastrointestinal Society.

🌍 This World Health Day, we’re highlighting some of the work our team has been driving behind the scenes to support better health across Canada.

We are working to close gaps in care by expanding access to screening in underserved communities, advancing health for immunocompromised patients, and partnering with pharmacists, primary care providers, specialists, and nurses to deliver timely evidence-informed education. This work reflects our commitment to strong partnerships and meaningful, practical solutions.
