It is with profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we share the passing of Brian Stephenson โ a beloved friend, mentor, and guiding light to so many.
Brian was a man of extraordinary service who devoted his life to making the world a better place. His commitment to humanitarian work through Lions Clubs International spanned decades, and included his service as International President in 1987. His leadership touched communities around the globe and reflected his deep belief in compassion, fellowship, and service above self.
Brian will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A Celebration of Life is planned for April 13th, 2026 at 4pm at the Red and White Club, 1833 Crowchild Trail NW, Calgary, AB T2M 4R6.
In Loving Memory

From all of us Calgary Connect Lions Club to all of you, Happy New Year!

The Festival has been organized by the Lions Festival of Lights Society for 39 years now (2026). Lions from Calgary, including the Calgary Connect Lions Club, & area, the members of IBEW #254 and members of the community at large donate their time to construct and set up the displays!
We say kudos to everyone who made this event possible. Sponsors come forward with financial support or supplies to help fund the basics. Volunteers are the essential link to making the festival happen. Without them, the society or displays would not be what it is today.
