We are here to support you with information about healthy s*xuality. AHS does not provide personal medical advice on public social media sites.
AHS Sexual and Reproductive Health Program offers clinical, education and health promotion services. Our clinical services offer youth-friendly and confidential services by drop-in or appointment for people 29 years old or younger or those that:
• Have no Alberta Health Care
• Can’t afford birth control
• Need a translator
• Need special services (pregnancy options support, emergency contraception
, diaphragm fittings)
Services include:
• Birth control information, prescriptions and supplies
• STI testing and treatment
• Emergency contraception
• Pregnancy testing and options support (parenting, adoption, abortion)
• Pap tests
• Post-abortion check-ups
• Care after s*xual assault. For service locations: www.ahs.ca/srh
The Sexual and Reproductive Health education and health promotion team offer free s*xual health programs to parents, schools, community groups, health care providers. Programs can including information about:
• Sexual decision making
• Consent
• Relationships and dating
• How to talk to children and teens about s*x
• Puberty
• Sexual and gender diversity (LGBTQ+)
• Birth control
• STIs
