We’re proud to share Chief Louis Crossing – Buildings B & C, currently under construction on Kamloops Reserve No. 1.

Designed in close consultation with Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc, these new commercial buildings are located next to the existing Sweláps Market and will expand opportunities for local businesses at Chief Louis Crossing. The project is intended to support shorter commutes, improved neighborhood accessibility, and continued economic growth within the community.

Each building is being designed with a cost-effective structural approach suited to its scale, with wood-frame construction for one and steel-frame for the other, balancing efficiency, durability, and long-term value.

This new facility will provide integrated health and wellness services for youth and families in the region—bringing together mental health, primary care, and social supports under one roof.

Our team at SAHURI + Partners is honoured to partner with the Airdrie Fire Department to design a modern, resilient, and efficient facility that will support firefighters and serve the community for generations to come.

This new fire hall represents more than just bricks and mortar—it’s a commitment to public safety, preparedness, and the brave individuals who answer the call every day.

This afternoon we celebrated the official groundbreaking of the new Highland Park Fire Station and Training Centre. This will be the city’s fourth fire station, and the first located in the City’s NE quadrant. The facility will feature a four-bay fire station, a fire training tower, training classrooms, and space to accommodate the City’s primary Emergency Command Centre. Today's groundbreaking marked a significant milestone as part of Airdrie's ongoing commitment to public safety and community service. Construction on the facility is expected to be completed late 2026.

We are proud to have worked with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation on The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience, which received the prestigious 2024 Wayne McLellan Award of Excellence in Healthcare Facilities Management.

The project was also featured in the Fall 2024 edition of the Journal of Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society. As Calgary’s first dedicated centre for child and adolescent mental health, The Summit is at the forefront of addressing the pressing challenges facing today’s youth.

Today on CTV's The Social, 50th Parallel Estate Winery will be featured as a tie-in to celebrate . Located in beautiful Lake Country, British Columbia, this multiple award-winning building continues to impress.

Sweláps Market in Kamloops, British Columbia was a category winner at the 2024 Thompson Okanagan Commercial Building Awards. The market is a vibrant market destination where freshness, culture, and quality are paramount. Owned and operated by Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc, this independent, community-driven grocery store spans 22,000 sf., offering a comprehensive selection typical of traditional grocery stores.

The Children's Cottage Society's Child and Family Centre was a finalist at the 2024 EIFS Architectural Design Awards this summer. The Centre provides a 24/7 safe haven where children can take a break from stressful situations and receive nurturing care while their parents get the help they need.
