🌟 Join Us for a Community Cleanup! 🌟

Cleaning up just got easier! Dispose of those big, unusable or broken household items the right way and help keep our neighborhood looking its best.

Every year, The City of Calgary partners with community organizations and amazing volunteers to host community cleanups, making it simple to get rid of items that don’t fit in your black cart while building pride and connection in our community.

✅ Everyone is welcome! If you can’t make your neighborhood event, you can drop off items at any cleanup location across the city. Cleanups run on weekends April 25 through September 27. No commercial or contractor waste is permitted.

đź“…Our event is on June 27 from (9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.)
👉 Visit calgary.ca/cleanups for city-wide schedules and for City accepted and non-accepted items.

🚧 Construction update: Bearspaw South Feeder Main replacement (Stage B)

Starting this week, we are beginning Stage B of the Bearspaw South Feeder Main (BSFM) project.

Stage B work includes installing a new steel feeder main along 34 Avenue N.W. (73 St to 89 St N.W.), which will run parallel to the current BSFM.

This work is expected to run through October 2026.

What’s happening first?
Cross-connection work will take place at:
📍 83 St N.W. (33–34 Ave)
📍 77 St N.W. (33–34 Ave)

Once the cross-connection work is complete, we will begin construction for the feeder main on 34 Avenue N.W. in June 2026, starting at locations between 79 and 80 Street N.W., and between 85 and 86 Street N.W.

Construction will use an open-cut method, meaning crews will dig trenches to install pipe, then restore the area once complete. This is the fastest way to replace this critical infrastructure.

Residents in the area should expect traffic impacts, detours, noise, dust, temporary parking restrictions and short-term access changes during construction. Drivers are encouraged to follow posted detours and use extra care when travelling through residential streets.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important work to keep Calgary’s water system safe and reliable. 💧

Let’s take turns and water wisely.

💧 Keeping your yard healthy doesn’t have to mean using more water.

Calgary is introducing a new lawn and landscape watering schedule to help protect our water system during peak summer demand and to make sure there’s enough water for the things that matter most.

It’s a simple way to water more efficiently – helping your yard thrive, while protecting our water supply.

Because it’s not just about how much you water. It’s about when you water.
