🚨 Transfer Station Update 🚨

Garbage from the transfer station has not been picked up due to the Drumheller landfill truck being out of service. We expect regular service to resume by Saturday. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort this out.

In the meantime, please only visit the station if absolutely necessary, as we are quickly running out of space for garbage today.

⚠️ Metal bins are also full — we cannot accept any metal until they’ve been emptied. We’ll post an update as soon as a new bin is available.

📣Village of Munson – Leadership & Municipal Services Update

The Village of Munson is undergoing a transition in administrative leadership. Effective immediately, Christopher Robblee has been appointed as Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

This change reflects a renewed direction for the Village, with a focus on strengthening operations and continuing to serve our residents with integrity and transparency. The process to appoint a permanent CAO will begin shortly, and updates will be shared as appropriate.

Municipal Services Reminder:

• 🏡 Tax Payments: Residents may continue to pay their property taxes at the Starland County office in Morrin or online. Standard deadlines and late fees still apply.
• 🚰 Water Billing: Water bills will be issued later than usual this cycle. If your bill arrives late, late fees will not be applied.
• 📞 Emergency After-Hours Contact: For urgent municipal matters outside regular office hours, please call 403-740-8011.

Due to staffing constraints, garbage pickup will be delayed this week. Please note:

🗓️ No pickup on Wednesday, August 20
🗓️ Rescheduled to Thursday, August 21

Garbage pickup will be TUESDAY Dec 24 and TUESDAY Dec 31. Regular time for pickup.

Due to the holidays the transfer site will be closed Dec 25th and January 1st. Saturday hours remain unchanged 10am-2pm
