Fact-check: Amanda Chapman claims '80% of Albertaās classrooms have a complexity rating of medium or higher' and blames the UCP for ignoring classroom complexity issues.
The truth: The UCP is delivering targeted fixesā$143 million for 476 complexity teams (one teacher + two EAs each) rolling out in high-needs schools, plus $1.8 billion in dedicated supports in Budget 2026. Data-driven action after listening to teachers.
Under the NDP (2015ā2019)? Broad inclusive education policies with general funding restores and school builds, but no dedicated complexity teams, no provincewide ratings, and no specific targeted grantsāleaving gaps that built up pressures.
UCP is stepping up with real solutionsāNDP didn't have the specifics. Our kids deserve effective progress, not blame games. What do you think of the new teams? Comment and share!

Calgary-Beddington parents and residents,
Amanda Chapman (in a recent CTV interview) says:
"There's a reason governments don't usually wade into censorship, right?"
But look at what everyday Albertans are saying in the comments under that clip:
"Three Cheers for Premier Smith!!!"
"No wonder Carney got in. It all makes sense now."
"These books... taxpayers won't be buying this garbage... not for children's library."
"Funny how implementing all these policies was so easy, but now changing them is hard? š"
The message is clear: Most people support protecting kids from sexually explicit visuals in school libraries. The UCP policy (revised to focus on images/illustrations, not text) is about age-appropriate materialsācommon sense for families, not censorship.
Governments that prioritize children's mental well-being do step in when needed. And the response from real Albertans shows strong backing for it.
Amanda keeps opposing these safeguards. Calgary-Beddington deserves an MLA who listens to parents and puts kids first.
If you agree, sign the recall petitionālink in comments!
