3rd Canadian Division Support Group is still accepting CAF and DND families evacuating wildfires at Edmonton Garrison.

The Edmonton Garrison’s Evacuation Reception Centre is offering support for CAF/DND/MFRC/PSP evacuees and their families. The centre is located at the Edmonton Garrison Fitness Centre and can be contacted at 780-973-4011 ext 4830. This number is monitored 24/7 and will answer any questions;

Accommodations are available for all sizes of families, couples, and individuals. We have hotel-style lodgings, with flexible configuration, and welcome pets;
Meals plans are available for evacuees at no cost;

Parking is available for larger vehicles with trailers and RVs;

PSP Edmonton is offering free gym and pool access as well as discounted passes to Edmonton attractions such as West Edmonton Mall and Movie Theatres (passes offered at Military Discount Rates);

Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre is offering some emergency supplies such as toiletries, snacks, and water. Emergency childcare is available for CAF families only at no cost. Please call 780-973-4011 ext 6300 for childcare needs;

The Reception Centre will provide you with maps of the base, outdoor activity maps for hiking trails, and dog parks for those with animals;

If you are a Canadian Armed Forces or Department of National Defence employee evacuating Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories and are heading to Edmonton, please go to the Edmonton Garrison Fitness Centre at 185 Hwy 28A, Lancaster Park, AB T0A 2H0 (at the corner of Mons Ave and Range Road 244). For more information call 780-973-4011 extension 4830. This phone will be monitored 24 hours per day and will assist you with relief.

3rd Canadian Division Support Group is working with governments and stakeholders to prepare and respond to the evacuation of Yellowknife. Our focus is to support Canadian Armed Forces and Department of National Defence evacuees, particularly the families of our deployed soldiers, sailors, and aviators.

Thank you to Tim Hortons Lancaster Park and Tim Hortons Erin Ridge St. Albert for supporting the Edmonton Garrison MFRC through their annual Smile Cookie Campaign. Through the generosity of our CAF members and surrounding community, Tim Hortons Lancaster Park and Erin Ridge St. Albert raised a total of $11,342.55 in support of the MFRC! All funds raised will go to support programs and services for military members and their families. 😊🍪
