We are the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Alberta and a part of a worldwide movement to promote and raise awareness for Special Olympics. Officers from nearly every Law Enforcement Agency in Alberta donate their time in support of the largest grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics. Money raised at our one of a kind fundraising events throughout the year stays in the local community. Just one more way for Special Olympic athletes to develop and grow their skills.

Happy National Police Week to our incredible Law Enforcement Torch Run family across Alberta and beyond. ๐Ÿš“โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

This week, we celebrate and recognize the officers and personnel who continue to stand beside Special Olympics Alberta and our incredible athletes...not just during events and campaigns, but every single day. Your support, belief in our mission, and commitment to inclusion truly leaves a lasting impact on so many lives. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ”ฅ

The work you do each day is demanding in ways most people never fully see. Long hours, missed moments with family, difficult calls, and the physical and emotional weight that can stay with you long after a shift ends... yet you continue to show up with strength, compassion, and heart for your communities and for our athletes.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’–

To our LETR family, thank you for giving so much of yourselves to this movement. Whether youโ€™re organizing events, fundraising, volunteering your time, coaching, running alongside athletes, or simply showing up to support them, you help create moments of confidence, joy, belonging, and connection that stay with athletes and families forever.๐ŸŒŸ

Thank you for continuing to carry the Flame of Hope with such heart and dedication. We are endlessly grateful for each and every one of you, and so proud to have you as part of the LETR for Special Olympics family. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿƒ

Happy National Volunteer Week ๐Ÿ’™

To all of our incredible LETR Alberta volunteers across the province, THANK YOU for everything you do for the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Alberta

You show up in so many ways, as coaches, event planners, mentors, and friends who truly become family. Your time, dedication, kindness, and passion fuel more than fundraising, they create opportunities for athletes to participate in sport, build confidence, and thrive both on and off the field.

Itโ€™s in the cheers and high-fives, the laughter, the encouragement, and the unwavering supportโ€ฆthose are the moments that truly make a difference. Through your actions, you help show what inclusion really looks like, creating spaces where every athlete feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

Beyond the uniform, we see you as humans first, our friends, mentors, our biggest fans, Guardians of the Flame, and protectors of the athletes' daily joy and love for sport.

Thank you for standing beside our athletes, for believing in this movement, and for continuing to show up with so much heart.
