Amity House cherishes the knowledge and talents of the seniors in our community. Your participation and contribution is valued every day! Here’s some free and fun activities available during Alberta’s Seniors Week that we would like to highlight.

We want to thank everyone for coming out to clean up our communities on Saturday. Special thanks to Cole and Bhavit from the Civida community engagement team, City Councillor Karen Principe-Councillor for tastawiyiniwak, MLA Sharif Haji and these kiddos, who win our inaugural community clean up best dressed award. :)
We hope to be back in our community soon!

Good morning everyone! Just a quick reminder that Amity House has a cooking club session tomorrow from 10 am - 12 pm! All supplies will be provided and all skill levels are welcome.

It's time to make our community shine! Please join us this Saturday, May 23rd from 10 am to 1 pm to clean up our neighborhood. Everyone is welcome to participate!
Meeting place to pick up supplies is outside of Amity House in Dickinsfield 1 and in the Green Space in Dickinsfield 3. BBQ and activities will be in the Green Space in Dickinsfield 3. Big Bins for larger items will be located at both sites, and help getting items to the bins may be available. Hope to see you there!

Celebrating all mothers! Thank you all for everything that you do. Take time to relax, enjoy good company, and have some refreshments with us and our friends from KARA at our event on May 8th at the Northmount Community Centre!

National volunteer week is just around the corner! Amity House appreciates the amazing dedication and support that volunteers bring to maintain our centre’s warm and welcoming environment, and enhance our programs. Our volunteers assist with:

- Sorting bread donations
- Leading our cooking club
- Participating in and facilitating our special event activities
- Preparing taxes for those experiencing financial limitations via the - Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)
- Assist with housekeeping tasks in our centre
- And much more!

These valuable services could not occur without the support of many committed volunteers!
