As we close another incredible cadet training year, I want to take a moment to congratulate all of our cadets on a fantastic Annual Ceremonial Review. You represented the squadron with professionalism, pride, and confidence, and your accomplishments this year are something to celebrate. Whether through training, leadership, community service, flying, marksmanship, effective speaking, music, drill, karate, or simply showing up and giving your best, each of you has contributed to the success of our squadron.

Thank you to our dedicated staff, whose countless hours, expertise, and commitment make opportunities like these possible for our cadets. Your passion for developing young people continues to make a lasting impact.

To our Squadron Sponsoring Committee, Air Cadet League volunteers, families, and friends…thank you for your unwavering support throughout the year. The success of our squadron is truly a team effort, and we are grateful for everything you do behind the scenes.

A special thank you to Maj Brown, Commanding Officer of 417 Domestic Response Squadron, for once again serving as our Reviewing Officer. We are grateful for your continued support of our squadron over the years and for the encouragement you have shown our cadets and staff alike. As you prepare for your upcoming Change of Command, please know that you will be missed. We wish you every success in your next chapter and hope you know you are always welcome back to visit.

On a personal note, I would also like to thank Maj Brown for presenting me with a Commanding Officer’s Coin. I was incredibly honoured and humbled to receive this recognition. It represents so much more than any one individual. It symbolizes the dedication, teamwork, commitment, and esprit de corps that define our squadron and the amazing people who make it what it is. Thank you, Maj Brown, for this meaningful honour. I will display it with great pride.

Congratulations again to all of our cadets on a remarkable year. Looking forward to our final fun night at Rundle Park on Tuesday. If we don’t see you there, enjoy your summer/summer camps, and I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together in the year ahead.

Some very tired cadets and staff are heading home. Cadets got some sun, a few mosquitoes bites and overall had a ton of fun!

We will be back at Jefferson for 315pm.

After an early start to the day we arrived at Camp Wright. Got base camp set up and fed the cadets lunch. Now they are going through various stations and building their shelter for this evening.

Today wasn’t the nicest weather for orienteering. The cadets still showed up and enhanced their skills, enjoyed some pizza and competed for 1st Place.

A little friendly competition to bring out teamwork, leadership, and map reading skills.
