As Mission Month 2026 comes to a close, we're looking back at where it all began.
Earlier this month, team members gathered at Head Office to launch this year's Mission Month theme: Inclusion: Empowering You, Strengthening Us. Through conversation, shared stories, and time together, we reflected on what inclusion means in our work, our relationships, and our communities.
Since then, we've had the privilege of sharing stories from residents, staff, volunteers, chaplains, and leaders across Good Samaritan. Each story offered a unique perspective on belonging, reminding us that inclusion is not just a value we talk about. It is something we live through listening, respect, compassion, and creating space for every person to be seen and heard.
As we reflect on the month behind us, we're grateful to everyone who shared their experiences and helped bring this year's theme to life.
Thank you for helping make Mission Month 2026 a meaningful celebration of inclusion, belonging, and community.

Mission Month continues at Victoria Heights.
Residents and staff recently gathered to reflect on the mission, vision, values, and strengths that shape life in their community. Through meaningful conversation, participants explored what it means to serve others with kindness, dignity, and respect while embracing people from all backgrounds and experiences.
The discussion also highlighted the qualities of a Good Samaritan, compassion, empathy, generosity, and selfless service, and how these values help create a community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included.
As we continue reflecting on this year’s theme, InclYOUsion: Empowering You, Strengthening Us, moments like these remind us that belonging grows through shared understanding, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to caring for one another.
