Hey everyone,
Today I had a meeting with Mrs. Mah concerning the Mr. Chan petition. I can assure you that the administration is clear on all your concerns and questions. They are in the midst of writing a formal response which, to my understanding, should outline why Mr. Chan is being laid off and how they will address some of our concerns. I think, in the end, all of us just want information/clarification about how these big decisions (that really impact us!) are made and why. Hopefully, their response will provide you with what you need. For now, sit tight and concentrate on your exams.
If you have any more questions/concerns/comments, please speak directly to me! Thanks and good luck on your finals!

NOTES
June-02-14
3:42 PM
Carnival Improvements
- Food shortages
○ Meal ticket regulation - how to control people getting seconds or thirds before some get firsts?
○ Slow lines: food distribution issues?
§ Could separate all the stations (dessert, chips, drinks, etc) so the lines can be separated and people who want just a drink can go for it.
○ Double patties or sausages on one burger consumes the meat and leaves a whole bunch of buns.
○ Fruit shortages - ran out within one hour. Probably better to be overstocked than under
○ Sign up for the stations should happen earlier so everyone knows what they're doing. They also need to be trained beforehand. This year, a lot of people were fickle and kept changing stations and thus nobody really knew what they were doing during the carnival
○ Crafts - make it more freer so people can make what they want
○ Make cookie decorating location more obvious; some ppl couldn't find it
○ Ensure station leaders have opportunity to eat as well.
- TWIN DAY
○ In the auditorium at lunch
○ Bring your own pen!!! NO FOOD OR BACKPACKS ALLOWED UPSTAIRS
○ Everyone must be quiet. They will take the questionnaire which will show how well you know your twin. The best "twins" get a 10$ tutti frutti gift card each
§ Its like a personality questionnaire: you write down your answer and your twin's answer as well.
- DANCE
○ 5$ OSA students, 7$ guests (NEED ID CARDS), free for OSA grade 12s.
○ Remind the guest to take back ID CARDS
○ After school Friday
SU members must be back to school at 6:30 to get prepared. Stay after school to help bring everything upstairs.
- we need parent/teacher supervisors.
- concessions: sell chips and freezies. Tickets are at door for everyone
- concession/front house schedule
- everyone at the beginning must be in foyer to help maintain the line
- 2 lines with 2 stamps
- concessions start at7:45
- front of house ends 9:00
