Our remarkable friend Liliana Kujundzic Tesevic is once again summiting mountains in support of the kids in e4c's School Nutrition Program!
Did you know? Liliana has been a longtime supporter of the program, and has summited over 50 peaks in support of the program! She's currently in Spain, hiking and climbing the Sierra Nevada.

Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit - Canada.ca
The Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit (CGEB) replaces the GST/HST credit in July 2026. It is a tax-free quarterly payment for individuals and families with low and modest incomes and may include payments from provincial and territorial programs.

Some updated information on the one-time Grocery Benefit rolling out this summer (June 5) which will replace the GST/HST credit. You must file your income tax in order to be eligible for a refund, though if you were eligible for the existing GST/HST rebate, you will be eligible for the new Grocery Benefit.

Canadians will see their one-time groceries benefit payment on June 5, Canada Revenue Agency Secretary of State Wayne Long announced Friday.

Here at e4c, our daily work focuses on addressing people’s most urgent needs in the here and now, while looking to provide support in moving towards lasting, positive change.
Our focus areas include food security, shelter and housing, communication connections, and education and skill development, and we draw upon resources in each area to meet the needs of the individuals.

Today is their last day before the holiday break and will be back in class January 6th, 2025.
We know that the next week will be filled with treats and festivities – so enjoy them, but don’t forget the essentials: water, exercise, and balance. Try to squeeze in a vegetable or fruit in between all the holiday goodies!
