I'm glad that we provided a space for over 2,160 people to park their vote. I know that many of those folks would have just stayed home and not voted at all had we not connected with them and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to engage with them enough that they placed their trust in me.
I'm also grateful for a team of strong, committed volunteers who helped deliver this crazy vision I have that puts people first. We worked hard for many months with a pretty small budget and no paid staff. We knocked on doors until the polls closed last night and I'm very proud of what we did here. I wouldn't change a minute of it. [Well, more money and more front end support would have been nice. But, still.]
I met a lot of great people over the course of the last many months that I can't wait to connect with the other people I've met and I know that, together, we'll keep working hard to make life better for the people in our communities. I can't wait to get started!
Thank you all! Love and light.
Mimi

Offspring #2 and I got our vote on early today. It was a pleasure bumping into old friends at the polling station.

The last door I knocked on tonight was my former next door neighbour Lu on 88th Street in Delton. She will forever be the best next door neighbour I ever had. She's heading towards 90 but is still full of s***k.
After Mary & I spoke with her for a while, I knocked on the door of my old house. Not to campaign but to talk to him about Lu. We had a great conversation. He had just moved in a short while ago. I pointed at the cherry tree Pat and I planted on Earth Day in 2010 and told him I was sad to see that all the fruit dropped without being picked. He told me I could come and pick them next year.

This incredible human drove into Edmonton today from Brooks to volunteer 5 hours on my campaign. And then she drove back to Brooks. Brooks is 4+ hours away and I've got to say that I appreciate every single volunteer who has worked on this campaign but this one has left me feeling particularly verklempt.
Thank you, Fartun. You are incredible!
"I am personally supporting Mimi Williams for Ward 7 and I hope that others in my community will do so also. I have been living in Ward 7 for almost 20 years and I love living in a neighbourhood with big trees, character homes, and friendly supportive neighbours. At the same time I recognize the challenges facing communities in Ward 7 and believe that Mimi will be a strong advocate in City Hall.
Mimi not only cares passionately but she knows the facts and figures to back up her positions with strong persuasive arguments. I look forward to Mimi taking on a new role in her work with our communities by winning a City Council seat."
