Byelection has been officially called for October 27th! We're doorknocking already but still getting the campaign headquarters set up and waiting for signs and literature. The Edmonton-Whitemud Wildrose CA, after waiting to make sure it wasn't just a fad, has started a Twitter account

Wildrose would win election if it were held today: poll Dogged by a series of controversies in recent weeks, the Progressive Conservative Party is losing more ground to the Official Opposition, a new poll suggests.

6 board members of the Edmonton-Whitemud CA attended the Party AGM in Red Deer this past weekend. I was going to post a brief wrap-up of the Party AGM of this past weekend, but Cory Morgan posted a less-brief, very comprehensive review.

This all ages event includes a full BBQ meal and a Wildrose Battle FOR Alberta Hoodie (or a Wildrose scarf & toque), access to the tailgate party on the field plus your game...

Wine & Cheese with Danielle was a huge success thanks to our own Kelly Dales. A shortage in actual wine and cheese was made up for by an abundance of MLAs (16 out of 17 showed up during a break before their evening session at the Legislature). Great opportunity for grassroots members to meet and chat with the government in waiting without having to pay $500 per plate. -MM

Very productive morning discussing policy in the morning at the Edmonton Leader's Congress. Of Whitemud's 4 policy submissions 2 got a positive response, 1 voted down, one tabled for review.
