Throughout the month, we’ll share weekly themes and evidence-based content designed to reduce exposures, strengthen best practices, and promote early detection.

We’ll also highlight our Behind the Badge – Survivor Stories, giving a voice to firefighters and families impacted by cancer.

Together, we can reduce the possibility of a cancer diagnosis and protect those who protect our communities.

Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month begins January 1, and we’re proud to stand together in partnership with the International Association of Fire Fighters. 🎗️🚒

Throughout January, we’re focused on education, prevention, and survivorship—providing firefighters and their families with the tools, resources, and support needed to reduce risk, promote early detection, and ensure no one faces cancer alone. Be sure to check our webpages frequently for updated resources, best practices, and shareable content, and plan a department safety stand-down to reinforce life-saving cancer prevention measures.
