Québec filmmakers seem to have a particular talent for horror—and this October is the perfect time to explore it. From a conscientious vampire in search of her next meal (Humanist Vampire Seeks Consenting Suicidal Person), to zombies taking over a small town (Ravenous), to ghosts chasing romance (Falcon Lake), Québec cinema offers thrills, chills, and a reminder that sometimes the scariest monsters are human.

La Délégation du Québec à Atlanta vous souhaite un bon Juneteenth!
Today, we join our American friends and colleagues in commemorating Juneteenth—a vital moment in U.S. history and a powerful symbol of liberation.
On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation—two and a half years after it had officially been signed—finally bringing freedom to the last enslaved African Americans in the U.S.
Now recognized as a national holiday, Juneteenth—also known as Freedom Day—is both a celebration and a remembrance. It serves as a time to honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black communities across the country.
✨ We wish you a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.
