In an effort to eradicate this terrible ailment, Women of Hope is raising funds for cancer research so that one day, there will actually be a cure. On an annual basis, during the second Saturday in February (around Valentine’s Day), Women of Hope will embark in organizing a fundraising event called "Gala Circle of Hope" where proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Un giorno un ragazzo chiese al vecchio saggio
quale fosse la cosa più forte.
Dopo qualche minuto, il saggio gli rispose:
“Le cose più forti al mondo sono nove:
Il ferro è forte, ma il fuoco lo fonde.
Il fuoco è forte, ma l'acqua lo spegne.
L'acqua è forte, ma nelle nuvole evapora.
Le nuvole sono forti, ma il vento le disperde.
Il vento è pure esso forte, ma la montagna lo ferma.
La montagna è forte, ma l'uomo la conquista.
L'uomo è forte, ma purtroppo la morte lo vince.”
"Allora è la morte la cosa più forte!" esclamò il ragazzo.
"No" gli rispose il vecchio saggio.
" È L'AMORE, perché sopravvive alla morte!"
