We invite you to take part in our literary event "Shahnameh: the epic of peace"

The Shahnameh is a long epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi and is the national epic of Iran. The work is of central importance in Persian culture and Persian language.

Le Shahnameh est un poème épique écrit par le poète Persan Ferdosi. Le travail est d'une importance capitale dans la culture et dans la langue persane.

Who are we?
Nowruzland is a community Centre of a different kind. Nowruzland is a Library but not only.

It vows to offer more than the common concept of a library. It seeks not only to provide a varied collection of books but also to build bridges that would connect individuals form different national, ethnic, political and religious backgrounds.

Books relating to the history and traditions of Central Asia and the Middle East are the core elements of the library but cultural events and guest lectures that bring about reflection upon one another’s held ideas and views are also one of the noteworthy features of the Centre.

We aspire to dispense of a larger assortment of books written in several languages such as Armenian, Dari/Persian, Kurdish, Turkish, Urdu, etc. At Nowruzland, we strive to reach out to anyone who desires to pursue the goal of building a better world defined by peace and harmony among cultures and we believe that such an ideal can be achieved through our common efforts based on compassion and cooperation.

Qui sommes-nous?

Nowruzland est un centre communautaire unique en son genre. C’est une bibliothèque mais pas uniquement.

C’est un centre qui cherche à aller au-delà de ce qu’une bibliothèque ordinaire a à offrir. Il cherche non seulement à fournir une collection variée de livres et d’essais quelconques, mais également à faire des ponts qui relieraient des individus de différentes origines, ethnies et d’appartenances politiques et religieuses.

Les livres, relatifs à l'histoire et aux traditions de l'Asie centrale et du Moyen-Orient, figurent entant qu’éléments centraux de la bibliothèque. Néanmoins, les événements culturels divers et les conférences livrées par nos invités et qui donnent lieu au débat, sont tout autant des caractéristiques vitales à la distinction de ce lieu et à son dynamisme.

Nous aspirons à dispenser d'un plus grand assortiment de livres rédigés en plusieurs langues telles que le Persan / Dari, Turc / Azéri, Ourdou, Kurde, Arménien etc. À Nowruzland, nous désirons tendre la main à tous ceux qui désirent concrétiser l'objectif de construire un monde meilleur caractérisé par le respect et l'harmonie entre les cultures et nous croyons qu'une telle ambition peut être réalisée grâce à nos efforts communs qui trouvent leur source dans la compassion et la coopération.
