Calling all U0 and U1 students! If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved within the Computer Science department and meet others who share this same passion, now is your chance! We are currently recruiting for our First Year Council (FYC), and applications are now live until Thursday September 12th. Join in on the opportunity to organize and plan social and academic events for your fellow first years, and strengthen our community!

We hope you are all having a fantastic summer! We are excited to announce that applications for new Helpdesk tutors are now open for the Fall semester. Applications will be open until August 25th, 23:59 EST at the link in our bio.
For this Fall we are looking for students comfortable to tutor in a primarily in-person position for 3hrs/week at a time that works within your schedule. Tutors must have completed one of Comp 202/204/208 as well as Comp 250 and Comp 206 to be eligible. Tutors are enrolled in the TEAM program which provides a $300 stipend upon completion.

If you ordered merch earlier in the semester, we have very good news: Merch is Here! You should have also received an email about the pick-up time and information if you ordered merch, but in case you missed it, all the information you need is here!

The merch has arrived and our first merch pick up time is scheduled to be this Thursday 5-6pm! Pop up by at the lounge at Trottier (Trottier 1060) to pick up your merch! We will request that you have your McGill Student ID to pick up the merch so please have your ID with you. We will schedule further merch pick up times throughout next week so if you can't make it tomorrow, stay tuned!

Join us for our FYC Uni to Industry Panel event on April 8th from 6-8pm!

Discuss tech with McGill alumni currently in the tech industry, at companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Unity. You’ll gain insight on how to transition into industries such as Big Tech, Game Dev and Startup.

There will be free pizza provided to those attending! 🍕
