Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Canada

في إطار توجيهات الأستاذ الدكتور وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، والأستاذ الدكتور رئيس قطاع البعثات والتمثيل الثقافي، بشأن التوسع في الشراكات الأكاديمية الدولية دعمًا لجهود تدويل التعليم العالي المصري، قام مكتب مصر للعلاقات الثقافية والتعليمية بمونتريال – كندا بتنظيم لقاء افتراضي جمع بين عمداء ومسؤولي كلية الصيدلة بجامعة الإسكندرية ونظرائهم بجامعة ريجاينا الكندية، وذلك لبحث فرص التعاون الأكاديمي المشترك ومناقشة إمكانية إطلاق برامج تعليمية وبحثية مشتركة بين الجانبين.

In line with the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector to expand international academic partnerships as part of the internationalization of Egyptian higher education, the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural and Educational Relations in Montreal, Canada, arranged a virtual meeting between the deans and officials of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alexandria University and the University of Regina, Canada, to explore opportunities for joint cooperation and discuss the possibility of launching shared academic programs.

تحت رعاية القنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية في مونتريال، نظّم مكتب مصر للعلاقات الثقافية والتعليمية، برئاسة الدكتور أحمد جابر المستشار الثقافي، أولى حلقات الصالون الثقافي المصري بمونتريال لعام 2026، وذلك بمقر الملحقية الثقافية، بالتعاون مع جمعية الخدمات العامة وإدماج المهاجرين (SPDI). وتزامن هذا الحدث مع الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للكتاب، حيث شهد الصالون مناقشة وحفل توقيع كتاب "حكايات من بلاد القيقب" للكاتب والصحفي المصري حسام مقبل. وتأتي هذه المبادرة في إطار الجهود المبذولة لخلق منصة للحوار الثقافي، تهدف إلى تعزيز الروابط بين أبناء الجالية المصرية والعربية، وربطهم بوطنهم الأم.
وقد شرّف الصالون بحضوره سعادة القنصل العام لجمهورية مصر العربية في مونتريال، السفير نبيل مكي، والسيدة حرمه، إلى جانب نخبة من المثقفين وأبناء الجالية المصرية والعربية المقيمين في مونتريال. وفي ختام الفعالية، رحّب الحضور بفكرة تنظيم الصالون الثقافي بشكل دوري كل ثلاثة أشهر، لما له من دور مهم في إثراء الحياة الثقافية وتعزيز التواصل بين أبناء الجالية.

Under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Montreal, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau organized the first session of the Egyptian Cultural Salon in Montreal for 2026. The event was held at the Cultural Attaché’s premises in collaboration with the Service de Publicité et de Développement des Immigrants (SPDI). Coinciding with World Book Day, the salon featured a discussion and book signing of “Tales from the Land of the Maple” by Egyptian writer and journalist Hossam Mokbel.
This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to create a cultural dialogue platform aimed at strengthening connections among members of the Egyptian and Arab communities, while reinforcing their ties to their homeland. The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Nabil Meky, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Montreal, accompanied by his spouse, along with a distinguished group of intellectuals and members of the Egyptian and Arab communities in Montreal. At the conclusion of the event, attendees warmly welcomed the idea of holding the cultural salon on a quarterly basis, recognizing its important role in enriching cultural life and fostering community engagement.

نظم مكتب مصر للعلاقات الثقافية والتعليمية بمونتريال، صباح اليوم المقابلات الشخصية للطلاب المصريين المرشحيين للحصول علي منحتي الدكتوراة التي سبق ان اعلن عنهم المكتب الثقافي والممولين من قبل البروفيسور حلمي عطية الاستاذ بالمجلس القومي للبحوث الكندي (NRC) للحصول علي الدكتوراة من جامعة ماكجيل في مجال الهندسة.

The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Montreal, organized this morning personal interviews for Egyptian students nominated for two PhD scholarships previously announced by the Cultural Bureau. These scholarships are funded by Professor Helmi Attia of the National Research Council Canada (NRC), and aim to enable the selected candidates to pursue their PhD studies in engineering at McGill University.
