For 15 years, Alex Boulerice has shown up for workers, for Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, for all of us who believe politics can actually mean something.

Today he announced that he’d be taking that fight somewhere new and Quebec Solidaire is so lucky to have him. Alex has never once chosen the easy path over the right one. That doesn’t change just because the stage does.

I’ll miss him in Ottawa more than I can say. But the progressive movement doesn’t lose Alex Boulerice. We just get to watch him from a different angle.
