StreetSuds/ La Buanderue

StreetSuds is a transitional employment program organized by the St-James Drop-In Centre. Program participants work 20 hours per week in the laundry facilities.

Here, they are trained in commercial laundry industry, given relevant work experience and the opportunity to learn about professional dynamics such as inventory, maintenance, delivery and client relations. Participants also have weekly case sessions with their case worker and take part in life skill workshops totaling four hours per month. These workshops teach various skills such as assertive communication, stress management, budgeting, job interview techniques, etc.
