This past week, I had the pleasure of meeting a kind—but understandably stressed—father.

The family dog had been sprayed by a skunk and then ran downstairs, right where the son’s goalie gear was stored. The strange part? The gear smelled completely fine at first—but once the son started playing and heating up, the skunk odour came right out!

This wonderful family made the trip down from Montreal to have the gear professionally sanitized.

As the father of a son who played goalie myself, I completely understand the extra expense that comes with that position—and how important it is to protect the gear and keep it fresh.
