Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning (KEC) Technician to join our team. This role involves cleaning and maintaining commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ducts, fans, and filters.

Responsibilities
• Clean kitchen exhaust systems using power washing equipment and cleaning agents.
• Inspect systems for grease buildup, fire hazards, and necessary repairs.
• Install and maintain system components like access panels, hinge kits, and grease containment systems.
• Document work performed and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with NFPA 96 standards.

Qualifications
• Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, primarily after hours, overnight, and some weekends.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and working at heights.
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or small engine repair is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
