Over the past several weeks, we have been talking about why ESI continues to invest in the Atlantic Emergency Management Conference and the value of bringing emergency management professionals together before we need one another during an incident.
Now that we are here, that value is easy to see.
The conversations taking place at AEMC bring together emergency managers, first responders, community leaders, government representatives, researchers, and others who approach preparedness from different perspectives. That mix of experience matters. Emergency management is inherently collaborative, and understanding the people, organizations, capabilities, and challenges around us helps strengthen the systems we ultimately depend on.
For ESI, our third year at AEMC is an opportunity to contribute some of what we have learned through our work, but just as importantly, to listen. Good ideas do not belong to one organization or discipline, and some of the most useful professional learning happens in the conversations between sessions.
We are proud to support AEMC 2026 as a Platinum Sponsor and grateful to the organizers and hosts for creating the space for those conversations. This year's theme of Strengthening Roots is proving to be an appropriate description of what happens when Atlantic Canada's emergency management community gets together.
If you're at AEMC, stop by the ESI booth and say hello. We look forward to seeing familiar colleagues and meeting a few new ones to help all attendees remain .
