June is Mental Health Awareness Month.

At Veterans and Everyday Heroes, we recognize that many heroes carry invisible wounds. The weight of service, trauma, stress, grief, burnout, and life’s challenges can impact anyone, regardless of their background or profession.

This month, we encourage honest conversations, compassion without judgment, and reaching out when support is needed.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. There is no shame in asking for help, taking a break, attending therapy, leaning on your support system, or prioritizing your well-being.

If you’re struggling, know that you don’t have to carry it alone.

Together, we can help break the stigma and remind one another that healing is possible.

💚 Check in on your people.
💚 Check in on yourself.
💚 Keep the conversation going.

A service dog can be the difference between simply getting through the day and truly living it.

The impact of a service dog isn’t small—and neither is the journey to obtain one. For many veterans, first responders, and everyday heroes living with PTSD/OSI or other service-related challenges, a trained service dog provides far more than companionship. It can restore confidence, increase independence, and create a steady sense of safety in moments that otherwise feel overwhelming.

V-EH! is here to help make that support possible.

No one who has spent their life protecting others should have to struggle alone with the daily activities of living. Tasks that seem “simple” to most—leaving the house, entering crowded spaces, sleeping through the night, managing anxiety triggers, or staying grounded during difficult moments—can become exhausting barriers. A service dog can help reduce those barriers and ease the undue hardship that can follow our heroes long after their service ends.

Your everyday heroes deserve comfort, stability, and the chance to live with dignity. If you believe in supporting those who support us, consider standing with V-EH! to help fund access to service dogs and the life-changing work that comes with them.
