The clear fluid shown in the picture is commonly referred to as lymph fluid. They are small droplets of clear or slightly yellowish fluid mixed with tiny spots of blood on the skin. This is normal and happens often during wet cupping. It is not pus and not an infection — it’s simply part of the body’s natural fluids.
Why does this fluid come out during Hijama?
It appears for a few reasons:
1. Pressure from the cups
The suction pulls the upper layers of the skin, causing:
Blood
Lymph fluid
Interstitial (tissue) fluid
rises to the surface.
2. Minor incisions
When tiny cuts are made, the body releases this fluid along with blood because:
The area is congested
There is inflammation
The body is trying to flush out waste material
3. Stagnation or inflammation in the area
If the area is:
tight
inflamed
has poor circulation
Then, lymphatic fluid is more likely to come out.
What does it mean?
This usually indicates:
Inflammation in that area
Fluid retention
Poor circulation
Stagnation in the tissues
Lymphatic congestion
It is not harmful. In fact, it means that this area needs detoxification or relief.
