Labor exploitation continues to be a growing reality in many communities. It is illegal here in Canada. Labor traffickers exploit desperate and vulnerable people. We can stop this by being watchful and aware of the following signs.
1. Paid less than minimum wage
2. Excess hours of overtime
3. Inconsistent pay days
4. Not provided protective clothing or equipment
5. No sufficient training
6. No water, food, breaks, or bathrooms
7. Asked to work under the age of 15
