In 1830, two Tasca brothers bought the “Tenuta Regaleali” (Regaleali Estate), - a green oasis in the centre of Sicily - in the ancient County of Sclafani. Since then, generation after generation, the family has been custodians of this territory and have shared its fruits with passion.
Starting in the 1980's the family also began to enhance several local varieties, vinifying them as single-variety wines:
- Nero d’Avola
- Catarratto
- Perricone (typical of the area)
- Nerello Mascalese &
- Grillo
This is significant as the cultivation of indigenous varieties is also in step with their commitment with embracing the natural terroir and uniqueness of the region. The current head of the
family feels he has been entrusted with the task of leading the family business, with the explicit desire to leave their children and grandchildren a better environment than the one they have inherited, strengthening the historical vocation for quality and continuous experimentation. This commitment to family, land, and quality shines through in every bottle.

the Côtes de Francs.” A regular sell-out, this wine could easily pass for Pomerol in its seductiveness
and complexity. At Château Marsau, the powerhouse Chadronnier family—one of the region’s most
prestigious négociants—tends perfect Merlot vines. In the cellar, the grapes get the royal treatment
under the guidance of star consultant Thomas Duclos, best known for his winemaking at Châteaux
Canon and Troplong-Mondot.

BIG, COMPLEX, ELEGANT
Aglianico “alli-yawn-nico” :
a full-bodied red wine, found almost exclusively in Southern Italy, in the regions of Campania and Basilicata.
Young Aglianico wines are known for strikingly savoury
flavours of leather, white pepper, black fruits and cured meat that when aged, develop soft dusty aromas of dried figs and sun-tanned leather. For those of us who are a fan of rustic, earth-driven wines, Aglianico is a star. The farming co-operative La Guardiense, which is one of the biggest in Italy, was founded in 1960 by 33 farsighted and courageous farmers. Today it counts around 1,000 farmer members and it has been very successful in adapting to the new era and to the many market changes that have occurred over this time, thus becoming a symbol of the technological progress for the entire province of the Sannio region combining as it does experience and modernity.

This PERFECT PAIRING goes out to Soy-Butter Scallop Wontons!
You won’t have a problem eating all of these scallop wontons tossed in a rich soy-butter sauce. The filling is a simple yet flavourful blend of scallops (which on their own symbolize wealth due their round shape and golden colour when seared) and minced jalapeños for a gentle heat and aromatics.
