Well, I did my best, but the people have spoken, 4 more years of Canniff. I am both shocked and saddened by the record breaking voter turnout. 30% of registered voters voted, as far as I know that's the lowest turnout in CK history. Over 80 thousand voters registered, 24 thousand voted. Appalling! I guess people just don't care about democracy anymore. Quite sad. Either way, spilt milk, those very few who did get out to vote made their voices heard. I would like to congratulate our Mayor Darrin Canniff on his second term. Keep your lawn signs, keep your heads held high, I will be back!

Well ladies and gentlemen, it's all come down to this! On August 3rd I submitted my paperwork to run for mayor, and I've been answering emails, delivering lawn signs, going to meet and greets, doing tv/radio/newspaper interviews, doing everything I can possibly do to make Chatham-kent a better place to live, and now it's up to you! Win or lose, I know the well informed voters of Chatham-kent will make the right choice. Thank you to everyone who's supported me throughout this exhausting but necessary journey, and I applaud every other first time candidate in this election for stepping out from their normal every day lives, and throwing themselves into the frying pan. This is not easy but any means, but it's absolutely necessary and needed. Chatham-kent needs change. I pray that tonight that change will take place, but even if it doesn't, we all did what we could to make it happen, and there's honour in that. It's in God's hands now!

Const. Andrew Hong, Const. Morgan Russell, Const. Devon Northrup. Three men who gave their life to protect those around them. 3 police officers murdered while at work since the end of last month in the GTA. This kind of mindless violence has to stop! God bless their families, friends, and coworkers. Absolutely devastating. May they rest in peace.

Last major event today, got to do a tour of hacienda farms greenhouse in Wheatley. The technology, quality control, and care for the environment in this place is truly astounding! Everything is recycled, the water, the unusable peppers, even the vines the peppers are grown on! Amazing! Thank you to hacienda farms and the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Association for inviting myself and the other candidates in and showing us around! And thanks for the super fresh vegetables!

I've been talking back and forth with a group of students for a few weeks at CKSS high school who are doing a project on me. I am absolutely honoured to be the subject of their project! They designed this poster which they'll be putting around the school to encourage of age students to go and vote! I'm also designing a second one for them myself. When I went to highs school (JMSS) they always did a mock vote on election days, which encourages young adults to go vote! Special thanks to Aiden Lavigne, Noah Harris, Gavin Dale, and Andre Dunmore the students behind this project! The dream team! Way to go guys!
