General information
I am an accomplished writer and editor and a skilled communicator located in Toronto, Canada, and am a graduate of Centennial College's journalism program.
As a writer and editor for more than 10 years I have worked on local newspapers, national magazines, and websites viewed by the international tech community. I've helmed the editorial department of two different consumer electronics magazines, and was formerly the assistant web editor for butterscotch.com, a site that provided technology tutorials and products reviews to visitors from across the world. As such I have experience writing show notes, optimizing posts for SEO, and using a range of content management systems.
More recently I have acted as an editor and research assistant for a number of doctoral candidates at the University of Toronto, helping them to graduate their programs and become doctors in their fields. I am well-versed in APA, sixth edition, and specialize in editing social sciences papers in that format, whether they are short essays or Doctoral theses.
As a student of philosophy, I love studying the science of logic and debate. And as you might guess by my tech background, I am a devoted gamer. I also like keeping up with the news, both on a local and international level. Born and raised in Toronto, I have lived here nearly my whole life. As both a responsible citizen and a hockey fan, I am well acquainted with the city's beloved/beleaguered municipal government and Toronto Maple Leafs. I have my opinions about both, but I'll save those for another place.
