The Suomi-Koti apartments are intended for active, independent, and well seniors; however, a range of services is available. This includes housekeeping, meals, activity programs and social events. Anyone wishing to move in to the Suomi-Koti apartments is required to pay the yearly membership fee and to fill in an application form in order to be put onto the waiting list. The time that one's name is on the waiting list, could be anywhere from a few months to several years. When we have an apartment available for you, you will be contacted by our office. The Nursing Home:

The 34 bed licensed ethno specific nursing home facility is located on the 7th floor of the building. We strive to keep the environment home-like and non-institutional. Funding is provided by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, but is never sufficient. The nursing home relies on donations from the community in order to continue to provide quality care. There are three different types of accommodation available: standard, semi-private, and private. Rates are standardized and are revised every July by the Ministry of Health. Employment Opportunities:

Admission to the nursing home is through the local Community Care Access Centre. Residents receive twenty-four hour care and are admitted when they can no longer manage to live by themselves. To schedule a tour of the Nursing Home, please call the Reception Office- 416 425-4134
