Traditionally on I have paid tribute to the women in my life who laid a foundation for me and so many others as women forging a more equitable world - my mother Eunice Denby, my Aunt Mil , Margaret Chambers, Doris Anderson, Monique Bégin, Ursula Franklin.

This year, in my 3rd Chapter, I want to say thank you & pay tribute to the young women who are changing the world & inspire me every day to keep going in partnership - we’re not done yet !



Traditionnellement, à l'occasion de la , je rends hommage aux femmes de ma vie qui ont posé les bases pour moi et tant d'autres femmes qui œuvrent à la construction d'un monde plus équitable : ma mère Eunice Denby, ma tante ‘Aunt’ Mil, Margaret Chambers, Doris Anderson, Monique Bégin et Ursula Franklin.

Cette année, dans mon troisième chapitre, je tiens à remercier et à rendre hommage aux jeunes femmes qui changent le monde et m'inspirent chaque jour à continuer à aller de l'avant en partenariat - nous n'avons pas encore fini !

Denmark’s Minister of Defence, Troels Lund Poulsen, together with his colleagues Sirið Stenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture of the Faroe Islands and Vivian Motzfeldt, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Research of Greenland, signed a defence cooperation agreement with David J. McGuinty, Minister of National Defence of Canada, in Munich today.

The agreement strengthens cooperation between the Kingdom of Denmark and Canada in a number of areas including defence innovation, technology, capacity building, as well as training, exercises and education.

Over the last two years, I had the privilege of listening to and learning from mental health practitioners and people with lived experience across the country. The voices, valuable insights and experiences I encountered are reflected in the new Promoting Mental Health and Wellness from Coast to Coast to Coast report.

For my own well-being, I like to make time to connect with friends and family, build a puzzle, or kayak if I can. Mental health is also a shared responsibility. When one of us is hurting, all of us are diminished. So, please take care of yourselves, and if you can, make some time for others, too.

When we reach out, listen to and support one another, we build a stronger and kinder Canada." -
