At The Gatehouse we know that self-compassion is transformative. For many of the adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma, who participate in our programs, they have spent much of their life feeling the shame and guilt of a crime which they did not commit. When they needed safety and compassion it wasn't there for them. But it's not too late to change the trajectory of their life and those are around them.
